How can my 13 year old daughter become a model?

My 13 year old daughter wants to be a model. Her friend has told her about an agency that will put her on their books. All you have to do is send 2 photographs and they will contact you if they are going to accept you. If so, you have to send some more photographs for your portfolio & £120 fee! I have told her this is a scam but 13 year olds prefer the advice of their friends to their mother. What do you think?

The role of agency is to offer services and kind of help you need, they will help you according to your talent and will charge you with some amount of money. The only thing that you need to do is to get it confirmed that the agency with which you are dealing is operating under a licensed environment or not because there are some agencies which work in a fake manner and they charge and fleece people with money and bribe them.
They cover the part about agencies charging upfront fees and how that is a major indication it is a scam. An agency should only get paid when you make money!

I have been modeling for a long time, and got taken in by a scam when I first started. It was my mom who cautioned me, but I had big dreams. All I got was a big empty bank account. Please tell your daughter that real agencies don't charge fees to look at your photos or to put them in their book or online!
