The mixer works okay until I have something substantial in the bowl - like mixing bread dough. It will be okay but if some of the dough gets between the beater and the bowl, the mixer bogs down and makes a strange noise. If I give the beater a a little assistance it will continue working until something gets caught up again. I tried mixing cookies but it started bogging down when trying to cream butter and brown sugar.
