I have a question related to the torrent download. I have downloaded office 2007 torrent file and I am curious to know that whether it is legal to install it or not. There are certain restrictions imposed by the Microsoft and I have heard that violating those restrictions can possibly make the Microsoft get the person sued in the court. I would appreciate any help in this regard.

There have been many queries and concerns about whether the torrents happen to be legal or not. For those who are afraid for this to be illegal, the good news is that Torrents are not illegal. A torrent is merely a peer-to-peer practice that is used by a bit-torrent client. Had they been illegal, the developers of Linux or Ubuntu would not have listed them as a way to download their software. It is even found in the videogame Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots when playing online. If there is an update that needs to be done, the game gives you the option to download directly from the source or to use the p2p method. The best way to download a torrent is to go on to the portal like thepiratebay.org, type in what you're searching for and download the torrent file that will then be used by a bit-torrent client. It should be made sure that you have a bit-torrent client (something like "uTorrent" or "Vuse") before attempting this as it will not work otherwise.
