I have a 190e 2.6 1998 year and under the bonnet is a round plastic device about 25mm across it is marked EZE ICE in the centre with a part number that refers only to 'plug' it also has letter S and N with numbers 1 to 8 (I think) around the circumfrence. MB have said this is a varible setting device to give diferent engine setting for poor fuel or high altitude areas, and that the plug should only go in one way, however it can be set to any position of around the eight ways it can go in. This has always been set at a position indicating the letter S by one of the retaining clips being highlighted.does anyone have any furter information on what this does and whether it is set correctly, I am in Northeast England. Thanks
