Memorex 2690MMO USB Turntable

Is this turntable supposed to float above, unattached to the board? If you lift it, you can see all the wires and electronics inside the unit.

    That "separating turntable" has died after only six months. Apparently the motor has stopped running. Memorex has gone downhill!

    Thanx for your help. I've never seen a turntable that separates off the board.

    Yes. Its a turntable meant for DJ's and mixing records, it needs to float freely and spin forwards, and back with minimal effort. A much better turntable is the Technics 1200's. Check them out. Good luck!
