I have checked the lint trap and exhaust vent. I need to know what to do next. Can I do this myself? I am fairly novice although I do have a fair understanding of mechanical things.

    Also, upon further inspection the ignitor is working fine, it gets bright red/orange and ignites the gas. about 20 second after the gas is lit, it goes out but the dryer stays running. This happened about 5 times in a row.
