The original iPad had a 24.8 watt-hour battery whereas the iPad 2 has a three-cell 25 watt-hour battery which offers a little better battery life than that of its predecessor. The best part is that the battery is thinner, automatically calling for a much thinner, and 33% to be exact, iPad. Shortly, iFixit gives the iPad 2 an overall furbish up score of 4 out of 10, with 10 being the easiest to repair. The fact is that Apple has ditched screws, albeit not entirely, for holding the iPad 2 together. Alternatively, Apple has used glue on the front panel of the device to keep it glued to the actual body of the tablet itself. The significantly less amount of screws used are standard Phillips screws, and nothing unparalleled.
