Male red ear slider biting Female red ear slider on the top of her neck

he's drawing blood. he is about 4 inches and she is about 6 inches they have been together since birth they are 5 years old now. this behaviour began about 4 months ago mildly. we separated the turtles to allow the female to heal and have now rejoined them and after only a week he is biting her again in the exact same spot...? any advice?
