I do not remember much, but I have some important scenes in my head. A couple of buddies (maybe war buddies) are on a passenger train. The female lead is a famous reporter or author. She wrote something controversial (at least the buddies do not like it) and she is pretending to be someone else so she can listen in on their opinion of her work. There is also another female that the guys refer to as the Beetle. The four of them (possible only the male and female lead) get kicked off the train for some reason. Now they are in a car trying to get where they were going. The female either pretends to not have money or has none (though she is rich and famous) so they camp outside at night. Someone is expecting her to arrive somewhere (editor maybe?) and she does not show, since she is no longer on the train, and this causes a problem. Wish I had more, but it is all I have got. Can someone tell me the title of this movie?

    Hello,

that’s more than enough. It happens to be a favorite of mine. It was Claudette Colbert and John Wayne in the 1946 film Without Reservations. Don DeFore played Wayne army buddy. Mervyn LeRoy directed for RKO Radio Pictures. It is a comedy film starring Claudette Colbert and John Wayne, Mervyn LeRoy as director, and RKO Radio Pictures presented. The picture was accommodated by Andrew Solt from the novel Thanks, God! I'll Take It from Here by Jane Allen and Mae Livingston. The unclasping shot presentations "Arrowhead" Pictures movement film studio. This is the real RKO Radio Pictures erected structure at 780 Gower Street in Hollywood, retouched with "Arrowhead" returning the RKO signals on the building. It stays a historic structure on the corner to this day.
