The longest river in the United States is the Mississippi/Missouri/Red Rock, starting at the source of the Red Rock, flowing into the Missouri, then into the Mississippi and then into the sea. As far as I know, this is entirely within the United States. It is 3,872 miles long and is the third longest river in the world, after the Nile and the Amazon.
