    Hi, It sounds like the alternator controller board is failing. Does the console act as if the machine is working normally? That is to say, besides the fact that the resistance is not correct does the display show the usual stuff without an error code? if so then it's either the alternator controller or the magnetic resistance assembly is jacked up, I tend to lean on the side of the controller board. there is no calibration on those units to speak of, at least in regards to setting up the resistance. if your handy with a multi meter you can open the case and check out the board by metering the contacts to the magnet. Call life fitness directly with a multi meter in hand and they can tell you what voltages should be coming from the board. They can be contacted at 800-351-3737. Good luck!
