    Hi There, You need to watch your water chemistry to avoid this from happening every three years or so. I am not sure if it can be because I would need to see the lay out of what you had but heaters are heaters and if you do not watch your chemicals it wont matter much. Stick to what you got and watch your chemistry Hope it helps !
