I have an LG refrigerator with an Ice maker that stopped working. You said the I/M is bad but what is the I/M? How do I know that will fix my problem. I turned off the ice maker and now the wire will move and when I turn it on the arm moves from down position to the up position and the arms that pushes the ice cubes out cycles around. Everything seems to work fine except now the ice tray will not fill with water. when it stopped working the wire would not move. I thought it had just frozen so I thought turning it off and letting it thaw out would fix it but now it does not fill with water. When it stopped working there was water in the tray but it would not eject the ice. Now it seems to have thawed and work fine but does not fill with water. What do I need to replace? Can you help? Sounds like you may need to replace the ice maker assembly - Part number AEQ36756901 - $100 @ Sears. I was able to get mine working by removing the ice-maker, opening the circuit board cover and letting everything dry completely (7 hours and make sure everything is totally dry) Mine has been working OK since.
