Krakauer Piano: Finding Date of manufacture from a serial number

Is there a site which lists dates of manufacture by serial number? We have a lovely Krakauer upright with beautiful sweet tone and a gentle touch and are just curious. I know it is at least 60 years old...

    I have a Krakauer Bros, I think made in 1902 fromt the stamp inside. Serial # 28490. Every thing works and sound amazing. Its been in my family for 4 generations and now my son is playing it. Any idea what it might be worth.

    19490 is the number on the inside of the piano. What year would that be from?

    KRAKAUER BROS. These are the first serial number for the year listed. It won't give you the exact year but will give you a range.
