Hi there! As long as the freezer is below 13 degrees F and the mold fills fully with water each time it fills, the problem would be with the mold thermostat. It has to close in order to start the harvest cycle. It closes by temperature. If the heater were bad, you'd notice the ice maker laboring for a long time trying to get the cubes out. No doubt the heater can go bad, but i can't remember seeing a bad one. You will have to take the ice maker apart to get to the thermostat and you will need to get some Aluminum sheet to coat the surface of it where it contacts the mold. It won't come with the Aluminum sheet and the parts person may not know to tell you you'll need it. Hope this helps
