    Hi! there Independent of the dryer. If you removed the gas valve assembly from the dryer, attached a gas line and then apply 110 volts, if would light up and heat. When diagnosing, find the source voltage and when first starting the dryer, check this source for the presence of 110 volts. If it is not there, the problem is in the dryer portion of the dryer. If it is, the problem is with the gas valve assembly. Hope this helps Best of luck
