I accidently got water into the bottom shaft of the blender; that is, the attachment that has the blade in it. It is now leaking some oily substance down the blade area, from where the blade attaches. I think it is machine oil and not something I want in my food!
I don't remember if there was a seal around the blade part, but there isn't now. Can this be fixed and how? Also does the inside need to be re-greased and how?
This blender has served me well so I hate to give it up, and Sears/Kenmore doesn't have a listing for the model any longer so can't provide a replacement part. I would very dearly appreciate any help on this! Many thanks in advance.
