Jean Francois Giroux is the Director, Venture Capital at Bdc in Montréal. He has worked with Bdc for over 8 years and loves what he is doing.
Jean-François joined BDC Venture Capital in 2001. Before that, he was Project Manager with Honeywell’s Industrial Control Division where he was responsible – from conception to the commissioning phase – for management of multiple engineering projects in the field of process control for industries such as pulp and paper and newspaper printing presses.
Jean also has project management and sales experience in the field of industrial ventilation and instrumentation (Preston Phipps). He currently serves on the board of directors of Microbridge, Diablo Technologies and Elcotech. Jean-François is a co-founder and serves on the board of Emerging Partners, a non profit organization which fosters business relationships and education opportunities within the Quebec venture capital and private equity community. He is also a member and serves on the board of MicroteQ-10, a non profit organization that has the mandate of increasing collaboration between microelectronics related companies in Quebec.
Jean-François holds a masters degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance and Information Technology from École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) and a bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal.
