    Elvis Presley got married to Priscilla on May 1, 1967, in las Vegas Nevada, their marriage lasted for only four years, as issues in their marriage kept on rising, and On February 23, 1972, they started living separately. In the year 1972, their separation was legally formalized, and the Los Angeles Superior court house approved their divorce on October 9, 1973.
    Now, regarding the issue of who filed for divorce first, it was Elvis, whose lawyer Ed Hookstratten, came up with the divorce papers, which were signed by Elvis.
