I have a small teapot with "James Dixon & Sons" printed on the bottom. On upper right hand corner is the #5. On upper left hand corner is the #36. Below the name is the #1426. Any idea on this?

Hi, Value just a few pounds at best. The JD&S mark is most often found on silver plated examples, which might explain why you say it is "tarnished", rather than having a pewter colour. Use a silver polish to tart it up, though don't be surprised if the plating is worn. Thanks
