Is Travis Garland Hispanic?

I am a great fan of Travis Garland as he is a lead singer from an old boy band NLT. Recently I have heard news which I think is a rumor that Travis Garland is Hispanic. In my opinion this is wrong news, is there anyone who can tell me the original facts please?

     Travis Garland is not Hispanic in fact he is white.
    Country Singer Randy Traywick was born on May 4, 1959, in Marshville, North Carolina.
