With Sky sports only announcing 18 event to be broadcasted for the first 7, we are missing three as sponsorship deals seem hard to come by...has the recession killed the dog running business?

The whole economy is in a strugle at the moment with the recession, the greyhound racing business runs purely on punts, so however bigger the market is, this should reflect to its success. So with people having no money to spare, this has caused a slight affect on revenues. William Hill have stepped in anyway and have now officialy announced they will be sponsoring 6 major events - so i highly doubt you can make suggestions such as the business slumping Its far from slumping, you know what they say, behind a dark knight follows a bright day....things will pick up www.greyhoundnews.co.uk
