   Toyota 4Runner is a mid-size SUV which is manufactured by Toyota and it is sold all over the world from the year 1984 to present. Toyota Hilux Surf is almost the same as Toyota 4Runner, in Japan Toyota 4Runner is known as Hilux Surf. The first 4Runner was a much compact SUV than the normal Toyota pickup truck with fiberglass shell over the bed but the model has undergone much significant independent development into the cross between a mid-sizes and a full size SUV. All of the Toyota’s 4Runner have been built at the Toyota’s plant in Aichi, Japan or also at the Hino Motors. It is a mid-size and full size SUV.
   The fifth generation of 4Runner was revealed at the Texas State Fair on the September 24, 2009. It is available in the 3 trim levels, 2 of them were available previously. Both of the SR5 trim was at the top of limited trim which are available as a 2WD or a 4WD. The all new Trail Edition in only available as a regular 4WD. The SR5 and the Trail Edition 4WD’s receive a part times 4WD drive system, while the limited edition will have a full time 4WD. All of these models come with A-TRAC. The new Trail Edition offers Toyota’s Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) and also the Crawl Control that had previously been available at the Toyota vehicles, as well as the rear locking differential like the previous Trail package. The 4.0 litre adds the Dual VVT-i that improves horsepower, torque and fuel economy and it also comes in all models. A 2.7 liter I4 was available on the 2WD models, but it was then discontinued after the 2010 model year.
