   Benjamin Jackson Burnley (born March 10, 1978) is an American instrumentalist, and is best renowned as the. Lead vocalist, tempo guitarist and main-songwriter for the band Breaking Benjamin.
   Ben educated himself to play guitar by hearing to Nirvana's Nevermind. Ben has more over claimed that Nirvana was his large-scale influence. Before Breaking Benjamin was formed, Ben had came by money by playing cover parts of melodies in varied coffee houses as a solo creative one-by-one under his own name "Benjamin". He later came up with the band's name, "Breaking Benjamin" after organizing a production of a Nirvana cover when he knocked over a cut-rate microphone from Radioshack that he scrounged from a famous person, to the ground. The proprietor of the scrounged gear came on stage and said "I'd like to articulate thankfulness Benjamin for shattering my f*****g microphone." Ben's preceding instrumentalists were Epoch and Plan 9 (later to be called Breaking Benjamin).
