Is Alexa Ranking an SEO measure?

I was wondering if the site ranking system Alexa is also an SEO measure. Would anyone like to explain this to me?

    Alexa ranking is not a SEO Measure, it only detects traffic stats but as per my opinion, it has no bearing on what rank or traffic do u have in google.

    That is why im not using it in our website http://sourcefit.com

    Alexa ranking is not a seo measure. It detect only traffic stats from those systems that have Alexa tool bar enabled.
