First of all although you had a bad accident with your eye, but you escaped with no injuries. Now if you are not having any trouble with your vision and if there is no pain in the eye, then everything seems normal. If there is any abnormal activity or there is unusual swelling related to the eye, then there might be a complication but it none of the above mentioned phenomena has happened so far, then you are on the safe side.
If there was some effect of the burn that you had a year ago, then most probably you have had problem with your eye back then. After passing so much it is rare for a problem to arise with your eye. The good news is that change of eye color does not mean that you have some kind of infections and problems with your eye. There can be many reasons of change of eye color. Your diet has a lot of effect in changing the color of your eye, and if you are taking a lot of protein, then excess of protein in body can result in change of the eye color. Also emotions of your body experiencing also have effects in changing eye color. Pigmentation can result in changing the eye color to brown.
There are different hormones in your body as well . s*x hormones in the body can cause in the change in eye color. Environmental effect and stress can also result in changing eye color. So unless there is any other abnormal phenomena related to eye is happening eye color change is normal and cannot termed as a sign or symptom of any disease of infection.
