Iomega Screenplay Director 1TB not recognized by TV PC and Mac :-/

Hi there,
I just bought a Iomega Screenplay Director 1TB and it's not recongized on my PC (Vista) on My Mac (MAC OS 10.5.8). They both propose me to formate the disc.
If i plug it to my TV in Component (i don't have HDMI) i don't see anything even a menu...
What's wrong what could be the problem ?

    Iomega screenplay director needs to be first connected to the TV and go through the initial setup (like setting-up language, network etc). once initial setup is done your PC will start recognizing ur iomega HDD.
