The NUS College in Stockholm was officially launched following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NUS and its partner university, Royal Institute of Technology (Kungliga Tekniska högskolan, KTH) on May 17, 2005. This is the first college to be established in Europe, and the fourth worldwide following the successes of colleges already established in Silicon Valley, Bio Valley ( Philadelphia ) and Shanghai .
