In the state of michigan, what is the legal age to be considered an adult?

   I know a 17 year old can be taken to the adult jail and will not be considered a runaway if they leave but, a 17 year old cant sign contracts or buy cigarettes or anything like that.

   No It is not 17 it isnt until age 18 unless you have been emancipated previously which you can do at age 16
