Different studies on adult development consistently indicate that maturity is not related to age. In fact, most adults never reach the more developed stages of human development. To deal with immature adults, you most of the time treat them like if they are their shoe size and not their age. People who are not mature enough tend to remain busy in the following habits:
    • Negative thinking with no gray area.
    • Inability to see the world from the perspective of fallow companion.
    • Low temperament.
    • Low tolerance for painful situations.
    • Low tolerance for other attitudes.
    • Lack of insight into themselves and others.
When you are doing efforts with a co-worker you think is immature, close your eyes and make an idea about his age. Once you’ve made an age idea, consider how you would really deal a child this old. It can be tempting to talk to your 5-year-old co-worker in a polite manner because you resent having to change your attitude. However, if your co-worker actually were 5, you would probably be patient, clear and set restrictions without resentment. When people behave at lower levels of adult maturity, they really have not improved up. You might as well be yelling at a co-worker in a wheelchair to get up and walk as yell at an immature co-worker who can't see your perspective. Yes, people have the skills to grow up, but if you work with people who haven't select to do so, you can only control how you response. You can't push them to hurry up and mature so your life is simple. More over you can motivate him for progress.
