Help!
I graduated in June, 1977 from Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, CA.
I can't recall when I took my SATs or any other college/aptitude related exams. 'Could have been 1975, 1976 or 1977. However, I did take some kind of entrance exam months?/weeks? later than the recommended date that my high school friends used, having missed prior opportunities due to my typical lazy teen attitude at the time.
I don't know if that exam was my SAT, PSAT, or what, but I do know it was very important, because I remember being somewhat panicked at my oversight when I had to hustle to get things completed on time.
The exact location of the test site escapes me also, whether I took it at the High School or elsewhere.
I applied to and was accepted to UCSD, Revelle, at pretty much the eleventh hour during late summer of 1977.
My SAT scores were in the upper-upper 90th percentiles in everything except math, which I believe was around the 75th percentile. These good numbers, a decent HS GPA, and high scores on UCSD/Revelle's entrance exams are the only things I had going for me when it came to that last minute UCSD application, due to my outrageously tardy submittal....truly a fiasco, but everything worked out.
Fortunately, my two offspring behaved far more responsibly as teens than did their mom when she was young.
