Criteria for modeling in Australia.

Hi! sorry, about asking this question but I need help. I am a 18 year old girl who has loved acting since she was a toodler. I heard it is easier getting into acting, by becoming a model. I am a size 16/18 (australian) and people dont take me seriously. I moved to Sydney for a couple of months to get an agent,they wanted me on the spot! I now have two agents, but no work. They told me that I could be the next Sophie Dahl...And because of the fact that i have strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes, i could find work easier. But 5 months later, nothing. I know there isnt a big industry for plus size modeling and acting in Australia. Its making me sick seeing so many overly skinny people. I think that I am alright looking for a plus size person. I want to move to America because acting is what i want my life to be about. But i am abit iffy. I have heard way too many horror stories about the people who just dont make it. Am i going on the right track or not? Someone help me in finding the real criteria for a model in Australia.

For modeling you should apply in Australia's next top model TV show and here is their criteria for contestants: Starting from Cycle 3, contestants must be aged between 16 and 23 at the time of filming. In the first two seasons, contestants had to be at least 18 years old. However, the show lowered the age limit after realizing that most international models start their career earlier. In Cycle 5, the three finalists were aged 16 at the time of filming. Those auditioning have to be at least 172 cm or 5'8" tall. In the past, some contestants have weighed less than 60 kilograms, but there is no restriction on weight.
