I keep breaking the plastic piece on stihl ms 250

the plastic piece keeps breaking when i pull the rope to start the chainsaw...there seems to be a lot of resistance on the first 3 or 4 pulls...i recently replaced the single plastic piece with a double but still have the same problem...
