    I have had the same problem with a same-sized dehumidifier in one of my rooms. I have found that a lot of the times the fill tray (where the humidity is collected) can be unbalanced or not fully inserted (even just barely uncalibrated). Simply turn off the machine, pull the fill tray out, dump any water already in there, and place it back in as smoothly and as level as possible; also, make sure it is in all of the way (some models make a click). Hope this helps!
