   I tried code 1465 it turn the tv off and the volume works but it will not turn it on ATT was no use I talked to them for an hour today they gave 47 diffrent codes to try

   Did you ever find an answer for this? I've gone through all the codes for Sylvania, Emerson, Symphonic, Funai, Philips, and Magnavox. None of them work!

   Emerson is made by Funai. From their Manual: "Funai suggests trying Remote codes from these brands they also make; Sylvania, Emerson, Symphonic, Funai, and Magnavox codes." Since Magnavox is owned by Phillips, it may be worth trying theirs too. Keep in mind if you have an older non-HD Cable Box, then it is not likely you will find an acceptable code. Beg borrow or buy an updated ATT Cable Box Remote, also sold on ebay, if you have no luck with yours. If you have to buy a new one, I would highly recommend a Learning Remote. This is not the same as a Searching Remote. Most remotes will allow you to Search step-by-step through all their codes, while a Learning Remote will actually capture the code from any button on your new TV's Remote and let you assign it to any button on the Learning Remote. Of course you will want a Universal Learning Remote.
