I just tried the calibration method cited above and it seems to work! Let's hope it sticks. Thanks, all.

The same thing happened to me and I followed the instructions to recalibrate above: 1)Hold the top left corner of the screen 2)Turn on the unit and hold "on " button till "Garmin" screen appears, thenrelease the "on/off" button. 3)Keep holding the top left corner of screen till the "calibration dots" appear. 4)USING FINGER, touch each dot as they appear on the screen. Once you have finnished touching the dots it will state "Calibration Complete" Thanks so much for your help!

Same thing happened while I was in-route! It wouldn't let me select "Agree", I even pulled over thinking that it knew I was driving and trying to operate it at the same time.LOL Follow these instructions. I went onto the Garmin website and looked at the manual online. It told me to Re-Calibrated the unit. 1)Hold the top left corner of the screen 2)Turn on the unit and hold "on " button till "Garmin" screen appears, then release the "on/off" button. 3)Keep holding the top left corner of screen till the "calibration dots" appear. 4)USING FINGER, touch each dot as they appear on the screen. Once you have finnished touching the dots it will state "Calibration Complete" This helped big time! Fixed it ASAP! I thought I broke the GPS I bought for my husband for Valentines day 5 months prior, but this fixed everything. Good Luck ;)

That same thing happened to me. After hours of research, I found a blog that told me to go to the Garmin website, register my Garmin and then download the most recent software update. It was very easy and fixed the problem. I hope this helps.
