I am in a really hard place right now, I transferred universities to finish up my last year in engineering school so that I could be close to my husband. We just got married about a month ago. Before we got married we talked about finances and we agreed that we would combine everything. Now that we are married he will not combine our finances. I am not working right now because I transferred universities so that i could be close to him, we met in engineering school. I feel like I have to kiss is *** to get what I want and he keeps on holding it over my head like I will not pay your out of state tuition, and maybe we should get a divorce. This makes me so mad because I had a full ride at my last school, I just moved here to be close to him. I feel like I am being controlled by him. Also he has a 7 year old daughter that he says is not going to get screwed over by me steeling all of the money. I have no idea where he is getting these ideas from or what to do about them. I have 1,000 dollars left in my account and it is going to be gone in a month because I have to pay for gas and groceries...and what ever else I need. I do not know how to approach him or how to get him to agree to combine our finances.
