How to replace the iphone 3gs battery case

I want to open the battery cover of my iPhone 3gs but do not know the procedure to open it. I have a friend who is good with such stuff but he also failed to open it. I myself tried it but did not get through it. I am seriously looking for some help here. Do you know the procedure to open it? Have you ever tried to open this phone? Someone please help me. I would be great full. Thanks in advance for the help.

Tools required:
Small s***w Driver, Opening tool

Step 1
Begin by removing the sim tray, using the included sim card removal tool (or a paperclip if you've lost the tool.)

Holding your device on end you will notice two small screws on either side of the dock. These screws must be removed in order to open the case.
