How to hook sourround sound to the xbox through the tv???

My tv is hooked to my surround and works fine for that but I cant figure out exactly how and what cords and even if I got enough room for any more hook ups. Just wondering if I can get the basic way that it is connected for sound through the surround sound??? Thanks.
