How to cope with Fear of failure? Atheletes or normal people; everyone has an inherent desire to succeed. We are taught the consequences of failure from an early age. If you don't perform, you pay for it in all kinds of ways. It's funny the desire to succeed gives birth to the fear of failure and gets imprinted on our dna. It's this fear that cause us to slip and breeds nervousness, especially when others are watching or paying attention. Only a few can remain calm while pressure is on; they don't focuse on fear of things going awfully wrong. It isn't only public failure that haunts people but also the knowledge that that failure could mean the end of the road for whatever they are doing.

To properly cope with fear is to realize that people have a very short memory; you try your best and regardless of the results, learn from it and you will do fine. Remember gain momentum and you will have everyone on your side and if you can't do it right now; keep at it, sooner or later you will.
