If you have a JVC, Canon or Panassonic camcorder, mostly likely the video formats taken with your camcorder will be MOD format. MOD files are actually MPEG-2 video with AC3 audio. And such files are not very friendly with video playback or editing applications. If you want to play MOD files on QuickTime, you will have to buy Apple’s MPEG-2 Component for 20 dollars. And if you want to edit MOD files on Mac, the video editing software Final Cut pro does not let you import MOD files either. Frustrating… right?
What if there is an application that can convert MOD to MP4 so you can easily play and edit your MOD files and even view them on iPod, iPhone, Apple TV and more? Doremisoft Mac MOD converter is the very MOD to MP4 converter Mac that can easily convert MOD to MP4, MOD to QuickTime etc. on Mac and even edit MOD files on Mac.
