    There are three types of company logos, one is font based logo, which is used by IBM and Sony. Then there are illustrative logos, that reveal the company's work. Finally there is a abstract graphic logo like NIKE.Such symbols are usually meaningless and the company has to infuse meaning in to it.

    Keeping in mind these three types of logo, you should get started with company logo sketching. Follow the following  main points while creatring your company logo

    Look at the logos of other businesses in your industry.
    Focus on your message
    Make it clean and functional
    Your business name will affect your logo design
    Use your logo to illustrate your business's key benefit.
    Don't use clip art.
    Avoid trendy looks
