How the users would react over the current check-in wars between Google and Facebook?

An area of Facebook’s site pointing to the ability to check-in to events, whereas Google has pushed an update to their Latitude iPhone app to allow users to check-in for the first time also so is a new check-in war beginning?

    This is somehow not going to create much difference as far as the users would be concerned. The users look upon Google as more of an informative website and this type of innovation could always be expectd from google. Beides, in facebook this may not be expected by the users. Neverthless, it will depend very much on the fact that how often a user uses a particular website.
