For the 2012 to 2013 tax year, you get £2,100 added to your Personal Allowance - this is the amount of income you can get before paying tax. If you and your spouse or civil partner are both eligible, you each get an allowance. You can transfer your Blind Person’s Allowance to your spouse or civil partner if you don’t pay tax or use all of the allowance.
