   Well in layman's terms converting moles to milliliters is silly. They aren't the same thing. The mole is a measure of the number of atoms and the milliliter is a measure of volume. It is possible, on the other hand, to determine the volume in mL of a specific number of moles of a particular substance under some set of conditions. But until those conditions are specified it makes little sense to "convert moles to milliliters". It's like asking to "convert apples to oranges". That said, let me give you a set of typical conditions. Suppose we had 0.100 moles of oxygen gas at standard temperature and pressure. Then we could determine the volume of this quantity of gas in mL since we known that one mole of any gas at STP occupies a volume of 22.4 L. 0.100 mol O2 x (22.4 L O2 / 1 mol O2) x (1000 mL / L) = 2240 mL But this is just one example in a wide array of possible sets of conditions.
