how do u send large files from one of your computers to another .. I know theres one way of putting the file(s) into ur email and saving it. And reopening it again at your other computer. But is there anyway else for big files like 500mb or so. Files for eg. Movies, stuff like Microsoft Office or something like that?

First Method is Sharing sites like rapidshare,megaupload,4shared n many more

But there are restrictions also because you are a free user 200mb is max uploading file size

so what you do is to split ure file either its zip,exe or movie and make different parts  famous software for that is HJSplit and then upload the individual file on any one of filehosting server and your file will be save for 1 month if its not download for that period

you will be thinking of privacy that how can i share confidential data well dats pretty easy you can simply put ure confidential data to winrar and put password protection by using strong password or you can use some encryption software to encrypt the file dats i prefer but thats just me

Second way of sending file is to send the file directly but success rate is less because of factors like internet speed, network conectivity or remote system shutdown so i prefer u should stick with 1st one :)

You can send it with remote desktop option

Or install team viewer to share files between different computers on different IP

Uhhh.. I would try a flash disk. They work, and depending on how much you want to spend..they can hold alot

You will need a compression software like Winrar and use it to make the file smaller. that i is like a zip file and it is easy to send.

    Or you could try USB?

A portable or external hard drive could be used to transfer files from one computer to another. However if you don't want to spring for one (though not as expensive as they used to be) you can always try sending them over the network. To do this both of the computers need to be on the same network (i.e. connected to the same router), and in the same "workgroup". Once you have made sure of these things, then on one of the computers make a "shared" folder, and then transfer away! You can usually transfer fairly fast (around 5-10 MB/s), though this depends on your router's speed.
