How do I troubleshoot a SIIG PC Switch 6000 KVM switch?

When I switch between PC's using SIIG PC Switch 6000, (one Windows XP and one Ubuntu Linux connected) I get a lot of random inputs. Its like whatever I did on one computer was stored on the KVM switch and then executed on the next one. Is there a way to fix this?

I've had the switch for years and have only tried to use it recently. I have no idea what I've done with the documentation that came with the switch.
