    You can
    • Access the Wal-Mart’s associate website and register for a free online account (see Resource). You need to provide your Social Security number, date of hire and personal e-mail address during registration. If you forget your date of hiring, request the date from the personnel department at your store.
    • Log in with your new user name and password. Click the “My Money” tab at the top of the menu and select “Payroll” in the panel on the left.
    • Go to “Direct Deposit” and click the “Sign Up for Direct Deposit” link.
    • put your bank’s name and address in the appropriate fields. If you do not know the bank’s address, call it and request the address.
    • Enter your routing and account numbers in the appropriate fields. The routing number is a nine-digit unique number that is assigned to financial institutions for identification purposes. The account number can be found on your bank statements and other correspondence from the bank. If you have checks from the bank, the numbers are at the bottom of the check, with the routing number on the far left, followed by the account number. If you are unable to locate the numbers, visit or call the bank and request the information.
    • Go to “Submit” and review the information you entered. Double-check the information for accuracy. Click the “Back” button to make any changes.
    • Agree to the “Terms and Conditions” by checking each box and click “Submit.” Make note of the expected date that your direct deposit goes into effect.
