How do I link 3 or more excel file?

I have 3 worksheet that share the same column called"Customer Name". I want to be able to enter a customers name on any of the three worksheets and it updates the other two worksheets. How can I do this? i used the = command but when i click on one cell, then go to click the other cell, it doesn't add both. Thanks ahead of time
