Is there any nice Hotel or B&B near North Beach California

We will be renting a small apartment @ Union & Montgomery later this year and a few friends from overseas will be joining us for a few days.  The apartment we are renting is too small for additional guests, so we are looking for a hotel or B&B nearby.  Any suggestions?
